    This is Alleluia, our Easter Egger chick, born on Easter day. We bought her because she was a different color than all the rest. From the beginning, we noticed that she had a different chirp than all the rest and currently is the top of the pecking order. We are really hoping that she is a girl!

    I guess I've been looking into Greek goddesses and myths hoping to find a name and I've found Nyx and Andromeda. Amdromeda (Americauna chick) was a princess whose parents sacrificed her to a sea monster and then was saved by Perseus. Nyx (Marans chick) was the greek goddess of night.
