3 week ducklings mean to 1 week ducklings

I have 4 three week ducklings and 2 one week old ducklings. The older ones are attacking the younger ones so I have them in separate brooders. Am I going to be able to put them together at some point when they're ready for the coop? How do I get them use to each other?

Putting ducklings in with young chickens?

I have ducklings that are 3 weeks old and chickens thay are 3 months (ish). My plan has always been to put the female ducks in the coop/run with the chickens. They currently free range "together" all day until the ducks go back into the brooder in the evening. But they dont have anything to do...

    Polish chicken unintelligent?

I'll try trimming her puff! The access to the coop is a ramp and I've seen her go up it many times and hangout right at the entrance but I guess she just doesnt understand to go in at night. I also have a ramp in the coop to get to the roost bars.

    Polish chicken unintelligent?

At first I thought it was her puff but it doesnt seem to be covering her eyes at all, just above them. So that would make sense that she can't see up high enough to roost. I'm just worried that I'll never be able to leave my house overnight if she can't figure out how to get into the coop at...

    Polish chicken unintelligent?

I have 16 chickens total that are all 11 weeks. I have 1 polish chicken. They've been in the coop for weeks and free range during the day. Every single one of them goes in the coop at night, on their own EXCEPT the polish chicken. I also have to help her up to roost. Is this breed just not very...

New to ducks, what do I need to know asap?

I have chickens that are a few months old and I just picked up some ducklings. What do I need to know? Chickens are in the coop, ducks are in the brooder currently. I'm hoping they can live together once they're coop-ready? (Will be rehoming any drakes) Food-wise, I'm seeing a lot of...

Does my run need a solid roof?

In the process of building a larger run, roofing materials are just not in the budget right now. Can I get by with just hardware cloth for the roof to protect from aerial predators? At least for a year or so until we can add roof panels? We get rain and snow but not astronomical amounts. Our...

    Wood for run question

I'm making plans for my chicken run. Do I need to use pressure treated wood other than the pieces that come in contact with the ground? What about the trusses that go under the metal roofing? We get an average of 8 inches of rainfall per year and total of 13 in snowfall. If you have pictures...

Chicken run hardware cloth 1/4" 19 gauge?

I found some 1/4 inch 19 gauge hardware cloth on sale, is that going to be sufficient for my run? I'm seeing 1/2 inch is sufficient but the 1/4 inch is actually cheaper on sale. I'm not sure what the gauge needs to be though.

Chicken seems puffed with head retracted?

Thank you so much!! This was what I was thinking yesterday but then she had me thinking she was fine. I'm going to treat the whole flock, can I keep them all together since they're all being treated or do I still need to separate our suspected sick one?

Chicken seems puffed with head retracted?

I will definitely report back in the morning but I did go out there too feel again since I haven't felt her crop since last night and it is now feeling a bit squishy, like water balloon squishy!

Chicken seems puffed with head retracted?

This is my 9ish week old chick (feed store said she's an amerucana, not sure) my kiddo noticed about 4 days ago that she's been a little reserved. She is kind of puffed up looking with her head kinda tucked into her shoulder area. But if I walk over to her she pokes her head up and acts somewhat...
