Anyone interested in 3 Black Australorps? Pullets, just started laying a few weeks ago. Not getting along with another batch of chicks. Would love to trade for another breed to add to my mixed flock? They are 6 months old. Willing to trade for year old pullets.... Meet in concord or Manchester
I'm new to Silkies, I have 2 white silkies that are 4 weeks old. They are being raised with 3 Barred Rocks and seem to all be doing great together. I'm hoping to introduce them to my 4 Buff Orpingtons and 6 Black Australorps this summer. So far they are so cute and I love the fluff!

She limps, can take a step or two and then sits. I soaked it, cleaned it, slathering with neosporin and have her inside in my chick brooder so she has access to food and water at all times but is away from my other...
I think a lot of it depends on the chickens ... I introduced 6 new 8 weeks old chicks to my hens, let them roam around the run and coop all day with me nearby. My hens didn't seem to care one bit. They are currently all asleep in the coop locked in for the night. I'm still watching just in case...
