So I candled on Day 3&4 (only bc I couldn't resist!!) all seemed to have a growing air cell. I candled again today (day 7). 3 have veins, 2 I can't see anything (one of these was set later on Tuesday, which was Day 3 for the rest) the other two seem to have good air cells, but they may be blood...
Ok. I couldn't stand it any longer. I candled to find that 4 of the 5 set on Saturday all have a dark mass at the top of the eggs (the big end) the 5th egg just looks really dark, I can't see anything. The other 2 eggs of the total 7 eggs set I can't see anything bc one was set yesterday& one...
I added another today. Couldn't help myself lol that makes for a total of 7. Hopefully I'll have a 100% hatch rate. We can always hope for the best as long as we are prepared for the worst.
It's great to see all the different breeds that people are setting!! I added 1 more egg today for a total of 6. I believe they were all layed by buff orpingtons, with the exception of one, maybe two being laid by a RIR. On an unrelated note, I got a HUMUNGOUS egg from my one of my blue...

Other than setting the eggs, the only other thing u need to do is sit back and relax. (Good luck with that LOL) but feel free to show pics of the eggs!! Now, when u candle them& all the way through!! This is my first HAL too& the first time I've ever set eggs!! I'm really excited!! Btw...
Also, anyone have an idea of how to check humidity other than a hygrometer? (I think that's the right -meter) I'm kinda worried it may be too dry in my room as I'm downstairs& have gas heat. Sometimes when I wake up my lips will be almost dried together!! I have a humidifier tho& it will be on...
