Thanks... After that experience, I may wait till spring and purchase chicks.

The only thing I can think of is after the first chick hatched and died , she sat on the remainders too long and got to weak. :( The remainders never hatched. Just a bad 1st time experience all around! :(

Yes, 2 days after the chick had hatched and died.

My Hen (Buff Brahma) layed on the eggs just fine. 1 egg hatched and the chick died. Then she was still sitting on the remaining 3 eggs then she died. :(
