why did you start keeping chickens

I started keeping chickens as pets when I was a child.. For some reason I am so attracted to owning chickens. I think they are wonderful pets and I can just watch them scavenge around all day. I also love that I have fresh eggs for my entire family since I'm gathering 6-8 eggs per day...

    Coop for Hen raising chicks?

A large area is great for chickens with newborn chicks so chicks can stretch their legs and grow muscles. Also make sure to keep the chicks away from other hens as they can kill them. Best of luck!

    Lump on neck?

interesting.. Not to sure what it is but when it grows out it's feathers it will be covered. Looks like a healthy chick to me though.. Best of luck!

    Incubators

I have used both Hovabators and little giants.. And honestly hatch rate was horrible ( possibly due to humidity ) Right now im at day 15 with my new mini incubator i bought at dasp.com and so far 5 out of the 7 eggs placed have chicks inside :) .. just making sure to maintain the humidity!

    is this incubator any good

Why not give it a shot.. I'm thinking of buying one myself since it's digital... But I would manually move the eggs just for extra protection ;)
