    Thank you! They have become some of my favorite birds in a short time. I got them at a local farm (Loudounberry) that was selling pullets. I’ve debated so many times going back for more. But… need no more chickens. They have 6 left for anyone local to northern VA.

    These were sold to me as BLB. 7-8 weeks old. I’m confused because they have a flat looking comb area. What are they? And are we thinking pullets?

    Here’s our BCM @ 25 weeks old.. not laying yet. I gave a BCM chick to a few of my neighbors from the same batch, and all of them are laying. I’ve been searching high and low for her egg haha!! Our hatchery version Cream Legbar has been laying for a few weeks now :)

    The 15 week old gals. Nila & Chip (the leghorn & marans) are both very petite and so sweet. They purrrrr and are chatty when giving them pets. :) Sonic & Tails (the Mystic Onyx) are not my favorite, the tuft one is a BULLY. Oddball is so skittish. They are oh so beautiful in the sunshine though!

    3 week old mystic onyx gender?

    They are supposed to be easily sexed at hatch. Males will be orange. So if she had fully black or dark brown down, pullet. My MOs grew super fast compared to the other breeds I had with them.

    Update- almost 10weeks old. We rehomed one MMM and one MO (last 2 pics) yesterday. I was hoping for a tufted, all black MO, so we kept that one, pictured with our 19 week old BCM Pullet. She is huge. We kept the weirdo MO who looks more Marans like to me, and has a very rainbow sheen. I think...
