    Hope this little girl got better. We had a similar problem a year ago and took her to the vet. They checked for a stuck egg but that wasn't it. They put her on extra calcium and an antibiotic and it seemed to perk her right up. Hope you found something to make her better.

    Yes, 5 degrees a week but they don't start at 95 like chicks. They start at 75 like ducks (from what I've read. I'm no expert but we have a clutch of 12 orphaned wild ducklings that we found at a day old and whom we adopted to a broody hen! We hit 4 weeks yesterday.

    We went to the place in Easton. Nice people. They just buy 50-100 extra chicks from mail order, raise them and sell them. They were beautiful but not anything like our extremely hand reared birds. We bought some Ameracaunas from them but they haven't fully integrated into our flock yet.
