I went in the coop yesterday and there were several feathers on the ground. I spotted the Rhode Island Red that had lost those feathers. I assumed she started a sudden and hard molt, but today I went out there and she was staggering. Any ideas??
I'm just so afraid she might have an internal injury or something. She immediately went to a far corner of the coop and laid down, and she was breathing hard. The others immediately started pecking on her, so we finlly got her out and brought her in the house. Hope she is okay in the morning.
We have a batch of 5-6 week old chicks in a temporary coop. They coop had a heavy door on top of it. We raise that door and play with the chickens, they fly up to see us. One of the chicks was sitting in the entry to the coop when a big wind blew the door closed on her!! I can't see a wound or...
