    New chicks to the coop

    Its very normal for the young chicks to not put them selves up at night. I have been doing this for 8 yrs now. We would just put them up each night and after about 2 weeks they get the hang of it and start doing it themselves.

    My Lucille got attacked, need advice please

    I have had mine attacked by a fox and had 4 wound bites on them. But saw it happen as I was chasing the dang fox away. Chickens can kinda go into shock for 3-4 days mine have. I keep that vetercyn (not spelled right) and spray it right away into the wounds because it has antibacterial properties...

    How to keep waterers from leaking over the edge?

    You need to put the part of the waterer that has the opening on the lowest end on the ground. This will fill the quickest and then stop the water from continuing to flow. Hope this helps. We went through the same thing. Now the water stays in and doesn’t leak out.
