    My chickens go crazy when I put a tomato in front of them. Really, they like it more than anything else and will run after me if I walk away with it. They eat lots of the tomato plant... not poisonous? Do tomatoes effect the eggs they lay?

    Same. my poor little Buff Orpington sits on the roost while my Light Brahma hen sits under her with her head in her plush feathers... my RIR also snuggles up next to my orp on the roost... good thing she's not claustrophobic!

    Do you NEED other things besides water? What will it effect if those things are not used? I've been feeding Quaker rolled oats every now and then, not cooked.     Do you have other roos? I've heard that some roos act like hens to hide from the other roos because the others are aggressive/ they just want some alone time. haha
