Brand new to chicken keeping. Planning on bringing 6 day old chicks home on March 1, 2018. Currently building our coop from scratch. Want chickens for the eggs as well as pets, thinking it will be so relaxing hanging w the ladies and listening to them chirp and peck. I have a very helpful husband, 2 excited teenage daughters, 1 dog and 1 cat.
