    SO, I cleaned her up again, and kept her in the shed - a bit warmer and away from pecks. Fingers corssed.

    Oh dear, she looks terrible today! Listless, and lots of fluid caking around her vent. Any suggestions?

    Yes, egg is perfectly normal, if a little smaller than the others laid by her coop-mates. She was a bit listless the other morning, but seems happy enough now.

    I've kept chickens for a couple of years, but had to buy new ones about a month ago after a fox took my 3 hens. The new three POL ones have settled in well, but a few days ago I noticed the vent of one was bloody. The others were pecking it. So I washed her, and kept her apart from the others...
