Hi! I’m looking to add some more Guinea Fowl to my flock. I would prefer if they were around 20 weeks or so as I don’t have a ton of time for raising more chicks at the moment, but I’ll consider chicks if you have a variety of colors. :) please feel free to reply here or email me if you have...
I am not sure how far Washington is from Indiana, probably too far I would imagine, but I am looking for a sweet rooster to join my flock of very spoiled hens. I had a rooster named Henry and he was the most lovely and caring soul. I absolutely loved him and was heartbroken when he passed last...
Thank you! He was older and had some special needs but he was the best guy. Really gave me a new look on roosters. And I for sure will post pictures and updates! :)
Oh thank you so much! That would be fantastic! And I don’t care about show or breeding quality, I really just want a good tempered roo. Your boy is adorable though!
This is my email, if you would like to email me, I can give you my cell number or we can just email to arrange details. Thank you...
Thank you! Those are definitely the kind of roosters that people want to keep, which is why I’m not really expecting any luck. But I will definitely keep trying. Thank you for the suggestions! I’ll go look in those places now :)
My beloved rooster, Henry, passed away in January. I never thought I would want another rooster because they scare me but he was the sweetest and kindest rooster and now the coop feels empty without him. I am only looking for a kind rooster that won’t chase people or kids and is gentle on hens...
Last night our lovely rooster was sleeping on the ground instead of the roost. He and a few others occasionally do this so I didn't think anything of it. However, this morning he cannot move! He is keeping his neck tucked in and he stumbles when he tries to move. I tried gently massaging him to...
Leo, formally Leela, is for sale. He is a Barred Rock and about four months old. Was hand raised with four other chicks and so far has been very friendly. He goes in the coop at night well and doesn't fly a lot. He's a very pretty boy.
Unfortunately we already have a rooster and have no room...
My five chicks are about three months old and today I thought a heard a crow. That is terrible news! I originally thought it was Gypsy, the red and white Easter Egger, but had two people tell me it's the Barred Rock. So I got some better pictures and hopefully you guys might be able to help me...
My chicks are about 3 months old and today it was alarmed to hear what seemed like a crow coming from their coop! Yikes! We already have a mature rooster so we really don't want another one. Three of the chicks are EEs, one is a Rhode Island, and one a Barred Rock. I have my suspicions about one...
Oh, hmm. She's buff and white (it's a lot more buff than it looks in the picture) but it is a pretty dark buff. I wouldn't call it red but it is pretty dark tan. She's so mellow and at the bottom of the pecking order so hoping it's a pullet but I see what you mean about the feathers.
I'm in love with Gypsy's coloring! Her head is turning silver too :)
Destiny is getting a black muff, she looks kinda like an owl to me hehe.
(Third from the left)
Arrow is starting to worry me. Does she look like a roo to anyone? She certainly acts sort of rooish. :/
My babies are four months old! The three on the left are EEs (then there's a Barred Rock and a Rhode Island Red). Destiny is in the back, Gypsy is the really light one, and Arrow is closest. Love my babies and can't wait to see how they change as they age! :)
