    Awesome advice guys thank you. I need to get a way to seperate hens for sure..and I think I do have more then one picker.. I’m wondering if they’re all getting moody because they won’t use any other nesting box except the one my broody hen won’t stay out of! Like maybe they’re egg constipated...

    I noticed today that my broody hen who has been relentless at staying in the nesting box, is looking pale on the legs and whitish on the comb and then I saw her do something odd. When she went to take a drink of water she bowed her head and walked backwards and kinda moved her head side to side...

    I couldn’t find it at tractor supply. But I do want to avoid chemicals as much as possible as I’m very sensitive to them and also I’m wanting to be as holistic as possible with the flock and not effect eggs. Which I think I read that one says not use the eggs for awhile right?

    I’m looking for more organic ways of treating with no egg waste. I know I’ve heard a lot of good things about elector psp but I’m trying to save up for some as it’s so expensive. I should be able to get it in a couple weeks but I wanna provide some relief now. Captain jacks says it kills mites...

    New chicken lady here

    hello my name is Tauni and I just received my first 4 chicks. I was also just gifted a big Noah’s ark boat I’m converting into a coop!! Any tips for keeping chickens in north Texas much appreciated! Also wonder if you can tell if a chick is a rooster at 3 weeks old? I’ve read mixed things.
