Thank you so much for the reply. I apologize, it appears to have a straight comb, not the typical pea comb. Do pullets still show straight combs early on? That is awesome that you hatched some silkies. I think they are some of the cutest chicks!
I know it is a silkie and young but for it to have a pea comb wouldn’t that typically be a rooster? At around 4 weeks old it seems a bit early for any type of comb :D
I got this little one today and was told it is pure silkie but I have my doubts. It looks like it has a single comb to me but not as tall. Also any guesses to gender (I know it’s way too early most likely). Thank you in advance!
