Mareks disease diagnosis and risk to my flock

I had a little 10 month old D’uccle pullet begin showing neurological signs about a month ago and immediately pulled her and quarantined her away from the rest of my flock. After 3 weeks of medication, supportive care, and supplements, there was absolutely no improvement so I had her euthanized...

    Sexing LF Salmon Faverolle chicks

Hi everyone! Any idea if these guys are hens or Roos? They are two weeks old and I’m thinking 3 hens and 1 roo, however, my luck is usually skewed towards roosters so this seems unrealistic lol. Help! Male or female?!

Belgian Bearded d’Anver bantams for spring 2019!

Hooray! This is great news. I’ve been looking for D’anvers for a while and haven’t had any luck finding babies locally

Belgian Bearded d’Anver bantams for spring 2019!

I know this is a bit delayed but would you still be willing to share that website? Does your breeder ship eggs? Thank you!

Silkies and Tolbunt Polish experts! Take a guess!

Hi everyone! I purchased 4 silkies for myself and 3 Tolbubt Polish for my friend from a local poultry gathering. Two of the silkies are beautiful and good quality (the blue and the buffs with top knots and obvious beards). 2, not so much. The other blue one appears to be a smooth feather silkie...

What kind of chicken is this?

I found a photo of a chicken online and I can’t figure out what breed she is. Please help! :)

    Silkie mix?

Thank you so much for the reply. I apologize, it appears to have a straight comb, not the typical pea comb. Do pullets still show straight combs early on? That is awesome that you hatched some silkies. I think they are some of the cutest chicks!

    Silkie mix?

I know it is a silkie and young but for it to have a pea comb wouldn’t that typically be a rooster? At around 4 weeks old it seems a bit early for any type of comb :D

    Silkie mix?

It has the extra toes and they are fluffy. :)

    Silkie mix?

I got this little one today and was told it is pure silkie but I have my doubts. It looks like it has a single comb to me but not as tall. Also any guesses to gender (I know it’s way too early most likely). Thank you in advance!

Thank you for Coccidia help! :)

just wanted to thank everyone for the numerous coccidia posts on here. I brought in a new little pullet a couple weeks ago who gave my other 2 chicks raging coccidia overload. My favorite (Chippy, a tiny guy) got super sick and I thought he/she would die. Chippy was so lethargic, dehydrated...

    Serama mix? Rooster?

Does everyone think the other is a partridge silkie?

    Serama mix? Rooster?

Well darn. I was really hoping Chippy was a female. Looked up Old English Bantam and they look exactly like Chip as a baby.
