Hello everyone. I am a first time ring necked pheasant owner. I am currently looking for females for my male. I am located in Georgia and would be interested in any for sale within my state. Thank you! Pic of my boy for attention
Oh my gosh they are absolutely adorable!! I will have to keep you in mind if you should happen to ship out in the future or I feel like doing a rhode trip haha.
I would love to receive them, however; I am very nervous of having chicks being shipped through the mail. Sadly, I am from Georgia and that would be quite a drive not only for myself, but the chicks as well.
Hi everyone I am new to raising pheasants. So far they have been a funny, interesting group. I’m determining whether I have all boys or 2 boys and 1 girl. They’re almost 2 months old, June 10 will make 2 months. Pictures are attached below. Thanks!
Hello everyone. This spring I am searching for bantam breeds as stated above. I had gotten 3 bantams 4 years ago from TSC and I absolutely loved them to death. However, mother nature had other plans and I lost all 3 within a month apart of each other. I would like to get those breeds again...
That’s what I’ve been keeping an eye on too. They’re just so little like their mom that I don’t know if it could be a runt rooster or hen. Fingers crossed though!
Below I have attached my silkie chicks I hatched this year and their parents. The 2 red chicks are 3 1/2 months old (July 21). The non bearded just now showing comb and wattles. The black topped one is 3 months old (August 2). I’ve noticed they aren’t vocal like a rooster, don’t strut or try to...
Update (07/23) I have had my first batch hatch. It consisted of 14 eggs, 5 were duds and 9 were viable. Currently have 2 eggs left from this first batch and there has not been any movement or signs of internal pipping. I put them on lockdown Jul 18. Day 21 was marked as hatch day but truly it...
Is it still air or a fan? The one my nanny gave me is still air and I just soak a sponge to put in there. The other incubator is moving air. I’m using for lockdown day. So far since buying a separate thermometer and hygrometer, it hasn’t been as stressful.
My grandmother just gave me her incubator yesterday. I plan on messing with it today and let it run for 24 hours just to see what it does. HOPEFULLY, it will be much better and a bit more stable than the current one.
Ugh just woke up to a temp spike of 111 :hitWill they be okay? I’ve read it does take a while for inside the egg to heat up but this isn’t the first spike that has happened with them. This incubator has me stressed out!
