Cleanliness of coop, water, feed - me vs neighbor

I have a debate going on with a neighbor who also has chickens. I am stringent about cleanliness and she makes fun of me for being too fussy. Maybe I am or maybe she is being foolish. Chickens with horses; Free range or tractor

Our paddock is almost 1 acre though I will be dividing it this spring to amend the soil and reseed half of it. But your point is well-taken. Thanks again!

Chickens with horses; Free range or tractor

Thanks for your reply. The first year I had sheep I hung a fly trap and it was full by the end of the summer. The second year we got chickens and the same trap was only maybe 20% full at the end of the season. Did you find the chickens help with the flies around horses?

Help? Levered wheels for chicken tractor

I had not seen that one. It is much heavier than I want to build but the wheel design part looks very helpful. Thanks.

Help? Levered wheels for chicken tractor

Hi, I will be building a tractor in a couple of months and my biggest concern is how to add two wheels with a lever to raise or lower the wheels to the back end so I can move the tractor about more easily. I have a couple of acres around the house and horse pasture in which I can move the...

    Hello all

    (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Sort of, I raised broilers for a couple of years, but this is my first time working with layers. (2) How many chickens do you have right now? We have 19 hens but there is a threat of adding ducks soon. (3) What breeds do you have...
