Thank you! I was thinking that would be the case but I just wanted to check with others! This is the first time we have gotten chicks from our flock, it's exciting but we were a little unprepared haha!
We just had a surprise! One of our hens hatched 7 chicks! We were able to separate them and the mama from the rest of the flock but they are still outside. It's going to be around 54°F tonight in our part of Arizona. Will the chicks survive under their mama? Or do they need a heat lamp? Thank...
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
