    12+ Dark Brahma Hatching Eggs

I am currently looking for dark Brahma eggs to hatch. My hubby recently decided to get me the materials to build my new coup ( I used the old one for like six months and it was just a nightmare!) I would ideally like to have only dark Brahmas bc I prefer the Brahma breed and nobody around me...

These are the best ducks for both eggs and meat. They have very mild temperaments and easily get along with other birds. They are very beautiful once they have feathered out and are the cutest ducklings. They grow very fast if they have ample room to roam and have fun.

Review by '' on item 'French White Muscovy ducks'

I had two white Muscovy's and they were wonderful birds that got along well with my other birds. We had a problem with our neighbors small dogs getting into our run and chasing our birds but the night we got our Muscovy's the dogs got into the run and when we went out to chase the dogs away they...

To insulate my coop walls or not to insulate my coop walls?

I live in sw Missouri. I had production reds that I bought from my brother in law who had bought them from a guy that had been mass breeding them so they were not in the best condition when I got them (they looked mal nurished and most of their feathers were gone) But they had filled out nicely...

Ended Official BYC Mini-contest - Tell us your funniest chicken story and win!

My husband and I went to my mom and dads for a BBQ a few years ago and her chickens are free range. Everyone was sitting down and eating while the chickens wondered around the yard. Everyone was talking and having a good time and my husband was sitting with his arms on his thighs eating and then...

To insulate my coop walls or not to insulate my coop walls?

I have lost all of my hens this winter due to the cold. So this year I am "remodeling" my coop. I have the plans drawn out and everything laid out neatly on paper. I know that I will be insulating the ceiling and under the sub floor. But should I insulate the walls even though I will be wraping...

    Toulouse Geese Thread

Lol! How old do Toulouse geese have to be before fertile? My hubbies mom once had a pair of ? and he said that it took the male three years to become fertile and that one day the hen just walked out of the barn with three babies behind her.

    Turkenstein25's Turkey Talk for 2015

If you built your turkeys a run they would not wonder off and it would help protect them from predators.

    Chickens, Ducks, and Turkeys!

I read that feeding your chickens ducks ect. keeps them from getting sick bc the garlic is a natural antibiotic that is also a probiotic so feeding it to them all the time will not harm them but it keeps them healthy even if you have all of them together.

    Turkenstein25's Turkey Talk for 2015

Wouldn't the temp change harm the babies? I plan on placing my order in February since that is when they will start hatching chickens.
