Great idea, like taking the guess work out and servings ready to go. In the past before FF our neighbor came to eyeball things and collect eggs. The pvc gravity feeder held a week's worth of dry pellet and nipple waterer about 7 days water in the hot summer. Now with FF we need a new way to deal...- christyg

ah and here I was ready to try out that recipe...will miss your aussie accent pete. .;) Ps this past summer saw a white cloud in the backyard, was 6 chickens taking a dustbath in the ashes of our firepit. Good t:lol:hing they didn't know it was "toxic ". :rolleyes:- christyg

I finally made it to the end! And can get some sleep tonight. Have noticed my tiny 5 hen flock eating twice as much food since FF started this week. Licking bowl clean even after refills. food bill savings??? Some mild pecking at the lower hens they want to hog on the ff. Thanks Rf and LM for...- christyg

Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble....every time I stir the FF I think of this line from Macbeth..RF you must be a vision stirring your cauldron! We found 3 perfect small food grade buckets ( 2 white, 1 clear with lids and handles) outside whole foods grocery store...- christyg

This is very similar size to the double lot where we live and we have a firepit we enjoy all Florida winter. We are happy with Live and let neighbors too. I made it with a circle of red bricks. Last night we buried potatoes and a bulb of garlic the coals...mmmm. I find fire very cathartic in so...- christyg
