i have two baby chicks that hatched and are doing great in with the flock. then i went out to the coop a couple hours ago and found another baby on the coop floor but it's poor little back had been pecked almost to raw meat! it's still alive, but i wonder if it will survive? my nesting boxes are...
we've had personal experience with my husband's forearm getting covered with fire ants and i gave him some young living lavender, sting stopped within seconds and he never blistered! true story!
kuntrygirl; i don't have a solution yet for the ants, but i will tell you without a doubt young living lavender oil stops the sting immediately and you never blister up
Ok, this is going to be one of those "duh" questions, but i'm going to ask it anyway. you want to use hulled barley for sprouting correct? not pearled........
i'm asking this again with a quote attached! i'm very interested in the fermented food and how you introduce it. is that the ONLY thing you feed new chicks and i'm assuming they'd get some grit with it? i've got baby chicks coming the end of march and this is my first flock! thanks so much!
i'm interested in the fermented feed for the chicks. i've got babies coming around the end of march and they're my first! i really prefer NO medication and i pinned something on fermented chicken food recently. could you elaborate on the fermented chick food? thanks!
