    So far we have White Leghorns, Rhode Island Reds, and Easter Eggers. It gives us a variety of egg colors. White, brown, and blue. Next, I want to get some Barre Rock or Dominiques simply for their feather color pattern.

    Moving chicks outside

    I moved mine outside last week. They were 5-6 weeks old and it regularly gets down to the mid-forties at night. It is supposed to be getting down into the mid 30's this weekend so I'll be putting at heat lamp in the coop just in case as they are currently from 6-7 weeks. From what I read...

    Help ! Where can I find sand for coop?

    Why no silica? Seems like that would eliminate most of the sand on Earth.
