Chicks not able to sit up/ walk, and are very wobbly.

Sickest chick still isn't eating, and seems to be getting smaller. I don't think it will last much longer. The other three are eating fine, but still aren't walking well.

Chicks not able to sit up/ walk, and are very wobbly.

I'm using powder and have been using the dose you have recommended. I've made fresh twice a day for my large brooder as they are drinking more than a gallon a day. Making it once a day for my ICU brooder that has the 4 sick Speckled Sussex. This is morning of the third day of Corid treatment...

Chicks not able to sit up/ walk, and are very wobbly.

Two days into treating with Corid, and they are getting no better. I'll continue to treat with Corid for another few days, and of no one has any better ideas, I'm going to switch to an antibiotic. I'm having to move the sickest chick to water and dip her beak to get her to drink. One chick...

Chicks not able to sit up/ walk, and are very wobbly.

I found Corid at a local feed store. Tractor Supply was out. Treated water in in with all the chicks now. Fingers crossed they pull through. The Speckled Sussex is my wife's favorite breed.

Chicks not able to sit up/ walk, and are very wobbly.

One chick is near dead. I can no longer get her to drink. I've put the fourth Sussex in quarantine. It's showing these symptoms of weekness. They sit and fall asleep as soon as I let go of them. The sickest one is laying on her side, and can't sit or even lift her head. Temp is fine. No drafty...

Chicks not able to sit up/ walk, and are very wobbly.

I have three chicks that are sick. One won't sit up. Two are very wobbly when walking. One will drink when I dunk her beak, and I've seen her drink on her own. But she can't sit up. The other are drinking and I believe eating. But they look drunk when walking. Staggering and falling backwards...

Coturnix Quail Basics- Information and Pictures Galore

No joke. It was quite the read the read though. I went back and read the OP a few times to brush up on what posters were talking about. Also read a few articals around the Interweb on Coturnix Quail. I picked up the turners for my incubator. I've found a local guy that sells cages with sloped...

    Mixed Flocks?

I've never had any real problems with a mixed flock. I have production reds, black australorps, gold sex links, and speckled sussex chickens right now. I'm adding in white leghorns that are near done in the large brooder soon, and will add Delaware, barred rocks, and buff Orpingtons in this fall...

Sprouting Grains - Bulk Near Sacramento

Do they sell non organic? The organic feed is too spendy for my chickens taste. And will they sell direct, or do you have to buy from a retailer?

    New guy.

Hey, thanks! I do like the Australorps. Good birds. I only loose chickens in the spring when predators are nursing. I'm guessing their diets need to be higher to feed their young, so they are more aggressive hunting for food. That's when I find them looking at my chickens. While the raccoons...

    New guy.

I just regestered while looking around for a few answers and thought I'd say hi. I've been raising birds for eggs, meat, show, dog training, and pets for the last 26 years. I've kept better than 20 breeds of birds over the years and have had a lot of fun. We sell eggs and my kids love helping me...
