This ams dressing change. The wound on top is healing by secondary intention ( meaning from inside out) it a little brown but it’s scabbed over with without smell. There gash on the lower L backside. I did a debridement of that gash and it’s much better today still oozing grey/ back gunk . Poor...
Yes. I thought so too. I am giving eggs, and vitamin supps. I applied hydrogel pad under the dressing. I think I am going to leave on until tmmrw am ( thoughts?) Then apply a new one.
I just want to thank everyone for the well wishes. We love our girls and although this was an accident my BFF feels awful about it. She loves hearing your positive feedback and suggestions. So, thank you again.
I got some hydrogel, going to use with next dressing change. She had eggs today, mostly just resting, she having solid poops. I will post pics of from next dressing change tmmrw am.
This is from this ams dressing change. Betadine splash, patted dry, dressing wet to dry. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get Nutri-Drentch and have to order but I did get her an electrolyte supp just to
hold her over. She’s pretty perky given the events, was snacking on zucchini during this evenings...
I love this. She is eating and drinking great so far. I did my best to check her out and she’s got a puncture under bottom. I cleansed that and I will keep and eye on it. Thank you for all your support and help!

We use Dankins in the hospital all the time, for the chicken I diluted it to almost undetectable. It’s very expensive so it’s used less frequently( in hospitals setting), but I splashed with Betadine as well, and the Betadine is what I will continue to do daily wound changes with.
Thank you so much for your response. We used a dankins solution to irrigate and clean the wound. We then did a wet to dry. She is inside with us, crated, with water, I will increase her protein intake and green veggies intake, I will get electrolyte replacement tmmrw to make sure she’s as strong...
My chicken beautiful girl apollo, got attacked by her dog cousin today. He’s suddenly nabbed her up, by the time we stopped him she was badly injured. So far I have cleaned the wound, a placed a wet to dry dressing over it
