    They are ALL beautiful... Especially the Frizzled! And thanks for all the photos, information and updates! I was wondering if the Silkie x Bantam Ameraucana offspring's size is Silkie size, or more like the Bantam Am? Also, are the mixed offspring's eggs Silkie or Bantam Am size?

    Keep in mind, chickens in the wild have the moon at night... A night light with a light photo sensor doesn't hurt.

    I’ve never seen a silky egg that color… I wonder if it’s a mixed breed? That would also explain why it laid early…. Of course that was 2020!😂

    No... It's Great! Thanks! So if a Large crest (2 crest alelle) and a Small crest (1 crest alelle) mate, Some offspring could be Large crested, and some could be Small crested, since they could get 1 Large crest alelle from each, or just 1 Large crest alelle from the Large and 1 non-crest...

    The 5 month old Polish seems to be doing fine, since there is a lot of room... It's just there is one hen that goes out of the way to let her know she's boss... I thought if I put her with the Silkies, it would prevent anything from happening... She is the sweetest girl, I just wouldn't...

    What if the hen is crested (Polish), and the rooster is not? Will that make a difference for the crest?

    Can you put a 5 month old Polish hen in with a group of 2 month old Silkies, or is that asking for problems? I've noticed chickens are very docile when they are being picked on, but then become the bully when they have the opportunity... Are Polish the same in general?
