    Keep in mind, chickens in the wild have the moon at night... A night light with a light photo sensor doesn't hurt.

    I’ve never seen a silky egg that color… I wonder if it’s a mixed breed? That would also explain why it laid early…. Of course that was 2020!😂

    No... It's Great! Thanks! So if a Large crest (2 crest alelle) and a Small crest (1 crest alelle) mate, Some offspring could be Large crested, and some could be Small crested, since they could get 1 Large crest alelle from each, or just 1 Large crest alelle from the Large and 1 non-crest...

    What if the hen is crested (Polish), and the rooster is not? Will that make a difference for the crest?
