Hello all...I forgot about this post, it seems like such a long time ago! I can't tell you how wonderful this little guy was. We called him Rocky (because he looked so beat up). I figured out how to get him to eat (just made mash with the chick starter) he loved it...but so did all the other...- cluck5

kkelsh14. It is nice to know that I don't suffer alone (though you went through something far worse I think and I am sorry for that ). We have a new routine at our house, I let the dogs out a t 7 a.m. (too dark for the chooks to come out), the dog's free run and then they come in for...- cluck5

I can tie him up, then he can't go after the chickens (as long as they are not dumb enough to go near him ) He is a Bull Mastiff (I know...what was I thinking)!- cluck5

Well, call me stupid...It wasn't our roosters killing the pullets, it was our dog. I never imagined after 2 years of having chickens, our dog would develop a taste for fresh chicken. I feel like a total idiot, so does my husband as it was he that was at home when the attacks took place. I...- cluck5
