Ahh I was afraid of that. I'm hoping beyond hope that there are at least 2 females so I don't have to completely break up the family because I don't know of anyone who sells their hens and I don't want Duck Tape to be a lone duck.
I've never had that experience but I can't speak for everyone. If I had to guess, and what I've experienced, they'll most likely just reestablish their pecking order and figure out who the new top chicken is. You'll probably have to train the new chickens while you are at it, but I'm sure they...
I have a feeling that I only have 1 female in this brood... -_- They are about 4.5 weeks old and they don't have their baby peeps anymore. Duck Tape makes a loud quack noise but Gorilla Glue, Saltine Quackers, Will and Heart all have this hoarse sounding noise when then "quack".
What do you...
I'd love to know the answer, but for those who are impatient like me, you could do it the way we do it for our chickens and use colored zip ties. Change out as they grow
I'm new to chickens. I just know some very basic things and I have 6 chicks (they are a week and 1 day old) that my husband brought home to me with medicated chick feed. We have a makeshift brooder using a dog crate with chicken wire around it and a red heat lamp.
Anyway, it's nice to meet you...
