    Thinking of combining brown red and lemon blue hens under lemon blue rooster to get a good variety of lemon blue brown red and lemon splash and putting my brown red rooster over my splash girls, from what I understand this will produce more lemon blues?

    Thanks! Good to know! I was hoping I had selected a pair… many had straight combs & webbed/extra toes! I tried to select the best pair to try and breed… these two were the only ones (out of 30 chicks) to both have 5-toed “normal” looking feet & walnut combs

    These are hatchery stock from J&M Poultry…. The grew insanely fast… upon further research these are “broiler silkies” bred for consumption? They’re totally marketed as bantams… anyways wondering if anyone can help sex these two? Thanks!

    Moonshiner I’m wondering if you can help me… how does the sex link property work with this cross? Is it identified by a head spot? I’ve read so many different things saying different things… I know I will get 50/50 blue/black but will all males have a head spot regardless of color?
