9 week old easter egger gender?

Thank you all! We purchased 6 pullets and got one cockerel in the mix so I would've been slightly irritated if we had gotten another.

9 week old easter egger gender?

I'm trying to determine the gender of this 9 week old easter egger, Lucille. I'm almost positive she's a pullet, but she has thick legs, is the largest of our 5 other pullets of different breeds (all same age), and she has shown a MUCH more take-charge protectiveness since we rehomed our 8 week...

    6 week americana cockerel?

Thanks for your opinion! He's had a red comb for a couple weeks now, and he just acts different than the others.

    6 week americana cockerel?

Hello, I have a suspicion that one of the 6 "pullets" we bought from Rural King is a cockerel. (S)he's about 6 weeks old. We can't keep a rooster, so it will be nice to know ahead of time if we need to rehome him/her or not.

Yes, I didn't notice that about the OP but figured it wouldn't hurt to chime in anyway. I did also "like"(? not sure of the terminology around here, I'm brand new.) all other messages of those who claimed to be from my city in hopes of getting some support from them. I have contacted the code...

    Ordinance Preventing Chickens...

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but I'm also from Portage and am wanting some (legal!) hens. Has there been anything organized to try to get this to happen? It may be easier to make it happen now that Porter County allows it, and Chesterton and Valparaiso have also made it legal.
