    Congrats on your girls productivity! My EE Buttercup just started laying 2 weeks ago just in time for the holidays. Her third egg was large like that also and it turned out to be a double yoker, they went back to a smaller size the next day. Aren't they just beautiful eggs, they look so nice...

    Hi All, Looking for more good advice from the BYC chicken pros. My young EE Buttercup just started laying her beautiful blue green eggs and her first 2 have had what looks like a little blood smeared on the shell. Her vent looks fine and she seems happy and healthy. Any thoughts? Thanks, C
