That is what I am hoping. The incubator is developing my mutt eggs right on track so soon we will get to hatch the good ones. I have a string of rabbit hutches I am about to convert into small chicken tractors for the young birds, I think.
I just can't wait to get the first few RC hatches...
Speaking of your setup cmom. I have three metal shelving units i got for 3.00 each. Not quite as large as yours but I am thinking--perfect outdoor brooders in the chicken "barn". One for a mini greenhouse though and one for possibly my soldier fly breeding greenhouse.
Very excited to finally...
Ohh I think I misread your question about the hatching. Yes, I incubate and hatch in the same incubator. To keep the birds separate in these heritage hatches, I am going to cage the eggs when I go into lock down. That way the chicks can't get mixed up. :-)
We've used different ones ronott. It is still a possibility though. But, the membranes during hatching show me without adding more water, it is was too dry some times.
For sure less eggs effect it redridge. This is a small set. Not sure if I will hatch them, I am just using them to calibrate...
