    Cracked Beak

Aww... Stooge's beak had just a tiny little blip of a crack... not much longer than -> I <- that "I". It actually is not even visible anymore - not sure how that worked? I didn't think the tissue there would "heal"... it wasn't all the way through her beak, though, so maybe through grooming...

    Cracked Beak

Hi guys! Sorry for the delayed response. Stooge is doing well... the crack really has not been an issue for her. It actually isn't all that noticeable anymore - it was basically in the spot where there egg-tooth would be as a hatchling :/ She is, however, yellow now! We feed our birds a constant...

    Cracked Beak

Thanks for the suggestions! She is housed with our chickens (she was raised with them and I believe that she believes she is one)... they seem to appreciate and respect her loud-mouthed ways (I could sneak as quietly as possible and Stooge will sound the alarm, haha!). How do I know what to...

    Cracked Beak

My female Pekin duck has a small, dark crack in the tip of her beak, directly in the center. It is about 1/4 inch long, and extends from the tip towards her head. Poor girl! It doesn't seem to bother her, and I don't see any blood - is there anything I can/should do? What would cause this...

6 wk old Turkey punctured wing...

I did notice the turkey chick trying to groom it's triple-antibioticed and wonderdusted wing... huh. That probably isn't very good for it's belly :/

6 wk old Turkey punctured wing...

Thanks, guys! I will definitely reference this as I continue checking on our turkey. He/She has been shivering a bit, but has been drinking/eating well despite that... I use the "chicken nipples" for watering, and the turkey has been doing great!

6 wk old Turkey punctured wing...

On my way to turn our 6 week old baby turkeys out in their outdoor enclosure for the afternoon, one of the babies flapped their wings (about a one foot wing span already) and got away. I had just unhooked the latches on the coop door, and wouldn't you know it - that darned feisty turkey managed...

    Hi there!

Hi everyone! I am an equine professional who loves having fresh eggs and beautiful chickens on our farm! I am definitely a novice chicken (and now two turkeys) keeper. I joined your forum because one of my 6 week old baby turkeys had an accident earlier, and I'm hoping some experienced "chicken...
