Tink is about 12 wks old. He was from a straight run Bantam asst. ordered from Ideal Hatchery back in January. He is very tame and friendly. Free to anyone who can come pick him up. Please bring something to take him home in.
Thanks,
Chad
We have a no rooster rule at the house.
Not sure about the city ordinances.
I will post an ad later to try to rehome him.
Thanks for all the help.

I am pretty sure Tink is a roo, but would like others opinions. And if anybody has an idea of what breed he is, that would be very helpful. He came from Ideal in a Bantam assortment. Of course he is the kids favorite and we can not keep roos.
This was taken several weeks ago.

How do you open the little door to the run without letting the chicks out of the coop?
There is a cable to pull the door closed at night. In the morning, we just unhook it, and the door opens.

Thanks.
So far so good. The chicks have been living in it for a couple of weeks. We still have too many for what it was designed for. I have 7 left out of the 19 we started with. One died and we sent the other 11 known roosters to a friends farm. We are hoping to get down to 4-5...
Please let me know what you think. These came from Ideal. They will be 4 weeks old tomorrow.
I received 9 BR peanuts in my order. Could this one be a pullet? Both of these pics are of the same chick.
Here it is with a couple of the others for comparison. It's the one on the left I am...
Ok. Here is a 4 week update. We have lost only one chick. The white leghorn. It died about 3 days after we received them for no apparent reason. All the others appear healthy and are thriving.
Please help me continue to identify the sex and breeds of the bantams and also give your opinion...

It is one of the many places that will send chicks. My experience with them has been great so far. I chose them because they had what we wanted and they were in close proximity to us.
Thanks for the info. What is OEG and OEB?
They all made it through the night. When I opened the door to the tool shed, it was completely quiet. Made for a nervous couple of seconds until they all jumped up and started running around. It is 24 degrees here right now.
It looks like I am...

I thought they might be BR's, but I wasn't for sure. Thank you. That helps a lot.
I have a friend who wants any of the extras. Hens or roosters. They live in the country and have plenty of room. We are keeping our fingers crossed that a couple of the bantams will be hens. No...
