    Another possible bumblefoot question

Checked on it today, not really better or worse. Any ideas?

    Another possible bumblefoot question

Last time I’m going to add anything i promise. She doesn’t appear to be limping or anything. I don’t know if she hides it well or it isn’t bothering her yet. I will say she wasn’t limping before I took care of the bumblefoot on the other leg either though.

    Another possible bumblefoot question

Just looking at the pics, in the first it looks like there might be something in it, like a thorn. It was not, it was just a bit of dirt. I took pictures then scraped/cleaned the area and took more. You can see in the last picture it isn’t there. Thanks again.

    Another possible bumblefoot question

I noticed a week or so ago one of my girls had bumblefoot. This is the first time I’ve ever treated bumblefoot but I think with the knowledge I gathered here I did an ok job. Got the scab off and the root out, packed and bandaged it. Checked it today and it looks really good. Well when I...

    Another gender game

My husband would tell you that he heard about how that GLW was a rooster for months. Actually I'm sure at some point or another he heard about how each of them was a roo, haha. This is only my second year with chickens and I haven't stopped over analyzing. He is still hearing about which ones...

    Another gender game

I'd say pullets too, though I am far from an expert. I really just wanted to say that I worried for the longest time with my bunch that came from mpc last year. Two in particular had me wondering for the longest time, my glw and Australorp. I was especially convinced that they had gotten the...

Don't know what breed or gender you have? Click here!

I'm back, you gave me answers last time so here I am for more :). I have no clue what these 3 even are, thinking one (the last) is a golden campine?? I got them at the feed store about 4 weeks ago so they are about 4-5 weeks old. Too early for pullet/roo guesses?

Don't know what breed or gender you have? Click here!

Any guesses at to whether this lavender orp is a male or female? I'm thinking male but thought I'd ask the pros, I'm far from an expert!! Thanks!

What breed and are they most likely hens

Ok I said it looked similar but now that I looked closer mine has brown on the wings with the black. I don't think yours does so maybe they aren't the same.

What breed and are they most likely hens

I'm not much help but want to follow along. I have one that looks very similar to this so I'm interested in what others think. I've somewhat come to the conclusion that it's a black sex link, but am far from an expert lol. If I'm not mistaken, the black sex link with have a white spot on...

    I have no clue

No I'm sorry I should've mentioned that. The chicken in question :) is at least a couple of weeks older than the little ones. Those are some Marans I picked up a few days ago. I'm wondering if the other chickens that I'm unsure of is an Easter egger as well, just haven't gotten any pictures...

    I have no clue

I picked up some chicks from our feed store a few weeks ago. Pretty sure they deal with ideal but it was just a mixed lot of chicks they didn't have a list of possibilities or anything. So I have figured out two (I think!). Now I have two left that I am wondering what breed they are. Only...

Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

This is my lavender Orpington that was raised by my bantam Easter egger. I'm thinking this one is a roo. It's wattles and comb came in pretty quick but then slowed a bit. It's around 7ish weeks. Hopefully the pics are good enough, I haven't learned the trick to poultry photography yet :)...

I fell down the hole again...

These were straight run. There was a sign on the pullets that said they were from ideal so I'm assuming these are from there as well but not positive. Other than that no there wasnt a list of possible breeds on the straight run or anything like that, that would've made things too easy and less...

I fell down the hole again...

Thanks. After posting I kept looking and did find the buttercup and wondered about that one myself. Also the exchequer leghorn for the first one? We hatched out some orpingtons about a month ago and have an order coming in from mpc next week. I probably didn't need these guys but....
