    Safeguard pellets how much to give

    Hi. I have chickens to worm. Poop looks like nasty peanut butter. I have safeguard pellets. Can you help me figure how much per pound of layer feed! Thanx!

    Who uses diatamacheous earth? How do you use it?

    I use DE and sand. And sometimes lime. Keeps the smell down and easier to remove poo from shelf they roost on in the hen house. I sprinkle all from a plastic container.

    What bedding do you use in your coop, nesting boxes, and run?

    I also rake up pine needles. They like that with the cut grass and straw. Throw in a little hay too! Keeps them busy. I have added a couple of fallen branches also. They like to sit in the sun on them.

    Hi! Love learning things from ya'll. I am trying to keep 8 ladies happy and safe. Deep straw, hot wire, poultry netting, & pvc pipe are now a part of everyday!

    Why Do You Use Deep Bedding/Why Do You NOT Use Deep Bedding?

    This is my first winter with hens. Hen house is 8x9 with double doors. I left 1 & 1/2 bales of straw in the corner when the weather got cold. They worked for days! Straw is deep enough a couple of the girls made a new nest. I add pine needles and a little hay on occasion. Happy hens! I leave...
