Wish we were closer. We are driving to MO in two weeks to visit a hatchery there. I was sold EE's and told they were ameraucanas. The price wasn't that different but it's the deception that bothered me.
A friend ordered to many birds and she said this one was a wyandotte bantam. She's super friendly and has adjusted great to the new area. I'd like to get more.
Any thoughts?
I took three birds from a friend who ordered to many for her very small back yard coop. Everyone has gone with the flow except her. She's so mean to the other chicks who are not that much smaller but are my original 8. She's not aggressive with people and she's not doing anything out of the norm...
We didn't pay extra for the EE's. They were all basically the same price with maybe a 25 cent difference in some.
So far they have been nothing but fun and I love how all of them have different personalities. We're already looking at what we want next, lol.
Thank You! Mabel is the smallest and the only one of the 8 to get pastey butt. Maybe she's a little younger than the others? She's also just now starting to lose some of her little fluffy feathers.
Maybe this will help.
Biscuit and Roman look alike, but then Polly looks like Roman and poor Mabel who is the smallest of all 8 is just now getting more markings on her wings other than on the tips.
The 5th picture is their coop and run, yes it has a netting roof. I witnessed a hawk murder...
I will try to get better pictures of them today. The camera on my phone isn't great and they take off running when you get close. They are so funny, they don't run away just around.
We have three that are brown with similar feathers. Roman, Polly and Mabel, there are suppose to be 2 of each...
We bought 8 chicks, 2, golden sexlink, 2 silver laced wyandotte, 2 partridge rock and 2 ameraucana.
They were a week old when we got them and now they are about 5 1/2 weeks old.
The older they get the more different they look. These are my first chickens but I'm thinking we ended up with 3...
