    Thanks for the advice and compliment...I am going to wait as long as I can. The chicks are getting ancy and cramped. Maybe some warm day field trips to the yard will help? i keep getting the comments...you have chickens in your house!!??? I just want to say "don't you have dogs, cats...

    Almost done with the coop!

    Thanks to lots of help and a lot of ideas from the forum and BYC, our coop is just lacking in paint! Oh and birds... haven't quite figured out the right time to put them out there just yet, still pretty cold and no power out there. Is 5 weeks too early for them to just go it alone?

    Another Utahn takin' on some chickens

    This is something that I have always wanted to do and we finally did it! Currently I am in the middle of building our coop, just finished the nest boxes and moving right along! This is quickly becoming a passion that my family is really beginning to enjoy... Better get it done soon, the chicks...
