    This made me curious and I just checked. None of my girls are on a roosting bar. All in a nesting box, one doubled up six boxes, seven gals. Not a ton of poo but I do shake out the pads every morning. Maybe just what they want?

    My birds are babies so I have not gotten any eggs yet, but I steam my eggs in a steamer basket (store bought until I get some) and I will never go back. I wonder if that would help? 6-7 minutes for soft boiled or 12 for hard...

    This is why I will NEVER live an an HOA. Too many busy bodies and nightmares. I’ve heard if old men literally measuring the front lawn and then fining the homeowner. No thank you! And I know is it’s not that easy to move but like someone said earlier is this the hill you want to die on?

    I’m having a hard time keeping their water clean too. It’s a real learning curve to maintain my OCD raising chicks! I’m going to look into other options.
