    2 female American Buff

one last bump... their reservation to freezer camp has been made if no one makes an offer by this weekend. They are good birds, we just don't have the room to separate them from our ducks and they are a bit aggressive to new additions to the flock.

    2 female American Buff

I have 2 - 8 month old American Buff geese that need a new home. I'm asking $50 for the pair. I'm located in about an hour south of St. Louis and willing to meet within approximately a 30 minute drive. More pictures, or videos upon request.

Help us settle our two points of view

So we started this whole flock with 5 hens and 1 drake. We lost 2 hens along the way, we added one hen later on (with two geese but that's besides the point). Right now there are 4 hens and one drake, all adults. We recently hatched 3 hens and 1 drake. This all means that next spring we will...

Help!! First Time Hatching Duck Eggs

I can so relate--we hatched our first eggs yesterday actually! It was extremely nerve-wracking and I'm not sure why to be completely honest. It was so worth it to watch them hatch though! I work at home, but the incubator is not in view of my desk so I actually set up a ring camera in front...

New old member? Old new member?

We stopped letting them out before 9am, and we adopted a Mastiff/Pyrenees mix, who has been fantastic with them for just being 6 months old. The area they are in is really too big to completely predator proof, but their house itself is a 100% safe place. (We did buy a trap but so far I've...

New old member? Old new member?

'eh either works. Hello (again)! I originally joined 5 years ago because while we had raised ducks in the past, I thought we were going to be switching to chickens after we moved into the new place. We didn't. HA Instead we order a bunch of Rouens and had a great flock--until one of them...

    Help with hatched duckling, please

Thank you, I was thinking the same thing, but wasn't sure!!! But if at least one other person thinks so... then I'm going with it! :fl I really don't want to open the incubator at this point, but I'm not sure if I should leave it there either... thoughts?

    Help with hatched duckling, please

We incubated our first clutch of Welsh Harlequins, and today is hatching day. :wee I woke up to a duckling fresh out of the shell and moving around quite a bit, I thought all was well, but now I'm seeing what looks like a yolk in the brooder. :barnie I have 6 other ducklings in the incubator...

    cleaning skulls

Of course there are different techniques for different purposes. Just because it's hung on a shed, doesn't mean that you can't be proud of it.
