I hope to make some friends with y'all.
Working to be a biologist, though I do help out on a farm with my parents with the numerous birds and other animals. Started with a small flock in 2017 and have seen this site on occasion when looking for help or research. We have MANY various breeds and listing them all would probably take up a paragraph.
More fun facts but I am deaf in one ear, and a huge fan of Star Trek. I often may try to name our birds after characters of the franchise. My favourite breeds have to be Silkies and Faverolles, I enjoy how fluffy they are. (Also seriously I love Star Trek, it is a huge hyperfixation of mine, would be cool to meet fellow Trekkies who enjoy chickens!)
I will try to help with stuff if I can, and will post pictures in the profile status on occasion.
Fun fact- Roux is pronounced as "Roo" for those unaware, thus Rouxster is meant to be said as Rooster. The corvid bit was more of a fun thing as Black Sumatras look like crows/ravens in a way.
Things I like, in no order: Star Trek, Pokémon, Skylanders, Birds in general, Chickens (obviously!), Dragons, A newfound interest in Jumping Spiders despite having arachnophobia, Animal Crossing, Minecraft, *Terraria... I am also trying to get back into Warrior Cats but I have a hard time sitting down and reading books X]
*I do not like a lot of horror unfortunately as it causes my anxiety to spike, however there are a few exceptions!
Communication notes (for help): There are times when communicating can be extremely confusing, I have had a bit of a delay. I typically will read things multiple times to counter against missing stuff. I appreciate patience with me! I try to respond to things when online, and have a hard time starting conversations usually due to anxiety.
I may make typos, though usually I will edit those to the best I can.
