I have silkies that are around 6 months, I have one "Stumps". She is acting very odd. Kinda lathargic, just sitting alone & not running away at all. I'm assuming she is starting broody. All of my roosters are acting very controlling. So that is another reason I assuming. What do I do...

I'm kinda in a pickle. We are just starting into this venture of silkie chickens. Well, I'm kinda concerned on how much room I need in the coop for them. I have 20 chicks, not sure how many are hens yet.

Our area for them is around 12X18. We pretty much have the plans of how the run is going to be built, but I concerned about the ground. We raked leaves up for this area, now we have some nothing but dirt ground. I'm getting silkies so I'm concerned about their feathers getting very dirty. I...
