Hey y'all. My name is Alexis and I am so excited to be here with all of you! Aren't chickens just the best?

I am in the midst of building my own little farm. I have six hens that I am raising right now. Ask me their names! Next year I will begin my garden, orchard, and greenhouse. Then, hopefully, the following year I will bring more livestock to my farm such as sheep and goats!

I am originally from Utah, however, I have lived in the south most of my life. In my younger years, I lived in Tennessee and Georgia but have lived in Kentucky for the last 15 years. I might be from the west, but I have a southern drawl as any southern bell! I love the country life and want to embrace farming more and more each day.

My goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible. I am in the midst of learning how to preserve and pickle along with making my own cheeses. I already have seemingly mastered the art of candle, soap, and lotion making along with other natural home remedies. One day, I want to distill my own oils as well! Not to mention, how to use a wheel to spin wool and use a loom. If I can do it at home with the right means, by golly, I will see to it!

I am follower of Jesus Christ and it is through Him that I have come to know the Lord. He has given me so much in my lifetime, never ceases to amaze me at how He provides, and I do my best to never worry, but trust in Him completely.
