Gift of 1 rooster and 4 hens started me on a 20-year love affair with chickens. I've had as many as 35 chickens, 6 ducks and 12 guineas at one time. As of January 2026, I have 1 rooster, 14 hens, and 3 guineas... and am sure I'll get more!
