The Jonel 8-49 40 egg incubator is complete rubbish. The instructions are appauling. I sympathise with everyone who have had bad hatches using this Jonel product. If anyone can work out how to disengage the humidity and temperature bleeper I would be most grateful.
Hi,
Yes I figured it out. Make sure you fix together the lead on the lid with the lead on the tray. They fit together easily. There is a counter display on the front left side of the unit. When the counter reaches '0' it will automatically tilt the tray.
Good luck.

Hi ,
I have the same problem. The egg turner is tilted to the left and is not moving. Terrible instructions to this product. Did you manage to find out what the problem was by any chance as I too have eggs in mine?
Thanks
Zoe
Hi,
I give my Embeden geese some layers pellets (duck or chicken variety) every evening as this is supposed to help but mine haven't started laying yet. I hope this start laying in February...

These chickens were left to me and I would love to know what they are. One is a black pekin but I am unsure of the feathering and breed of the other two. Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks in anticipation of all your help.
Hi Mei,
I was very interested to read your thread. I am in the UK and am hatching out my first Ayam Cemani chicks at the moment. Two chicks are all black but the other two are not (they are more yellow). I was assured they were bred from Ayam Cemani birds but is this right?
I am hoping you may...
Hi,
Don't worry it won't wreck the other eggs. The noise from this chick will encourage the others to hatch. If the others have piped don't open it again as the humidity needed for those to hatch will be lost and this may affect the hatch. Good luck with the rest of the hatch.
