    Watery Egg Whites

    I hope someone has an idea on this,my eggs all seem a little runny.They are getting good feed,plenty of water,and their treats for the day is always bread or scratch.Even just this mornings egg will be runny!!!!!What do I need to do?

    I think we might try one!What is the best way to do this plucking or skinning?It is kind of cold here in northeast Ohio to set up a pluckingday.

    The ducks were born June 21 and weight ,I'm guessing about 9 lbs.When the were 4H animals they were on very pricey feed,I didn't if I could butcher them right off the pasture or feed them for a few weeks some grains.

    we brought the pekins in from free range area and would like to "finish" them for meat ducks,any ideas on what a good feed program will do this?They were left over 4-H projects from August that were on a high protein feed,we live on a grain farm and have wheat,corn,oats,soybeans,and good hay...

    I think my Queenie wants to go broody on me!

    My little red hen has gone broody too! There is no rooster with my girls so she is getting nowhere ...will she give up ?It is getting cold here in northeast ohio and im worried about her not eating enough to keep her energy level up.

    :DMine girls love bread..rattle a bread wrapper and watch out...they jump up trying to grab at the bag and gather around my feet.Chiks are the best mood lifters..that happy noise makes everything better!!!!

    this is from Dorset in Ashtabula county,I have 24 barred rocks and 1 little red hen who is very old! She is left from my first batch of chicks 6 years ago.Is anyone else from around here?

    how cold is too cold?

    it has been below 10 here for days!!!I could not be without my heated base for the metal waterer i use,my girls have water all day.I have a problem with frozen eggs,any ideas on that? I put extra straw in today to see if that helps.

    yay! i finally have my chicken water heater!

    I don't know how anyone who lives where it gets cold can go with these!!!I took care of a friends chickies this week,frozen water every day!!My chickies were drinking !!
