I breed and show chickens, mainly bantams. I already have a few breeding flocks of bantams. The thing is I find the roosters are the most successful at shows and look the nicest to me. I would like to keep a few extra roosters of pekin bantams (cochin bantams), sebright, serama, and silkie...
I posted this on this forum because i feel there maybe more breeders of show/exhibition chickens here.
I currently sell purebreed pekin bantam chicks and call ducks. I would love to get into more show breeds like seramas, polish, silkies, and maybe some long tailed breeds. I know a breeder near...
I don't have great pictures but here are some from when i got them. their feet have black spots, their bills are quiet long and i think the pattern on there feathers is not quiet the standard.
Also wondering has anyone had success winning overall best duck in shows with rarer call duck colours like black, magpie, chocolate, butterscotch, etc. Any shows that I ever go to are always won by grays or whites, it'd be nice for a less common colour to win.
I have a young pair of magpie call ducks that are lovely but probably not suitable for shows. There is very little information about this colouring and I was wondering has anyone had success breeding and showing this colour before.
