Spot at 6 1/2 weeks old. At this point we are pretty certain Spot is a cockrel. He is the boss of the coop and very protective of the other chicks. Cockrel or pullet we love our Spot!
I'm suspicious that my Orpington pullets aren't all pullets. One of them is starting to pick on my presumed cockrel but the others are very docile with all the chicks. I've been told that Orpingtons can be difficult to sex so I'm hoping they are pullets.

Thank you very much for the replies! A Barred Rock pullet would be wonderful so I truly hope you are correct. The BA purchase was an impulse buy, I just needed two more chicks to get my minimum purchase.
This little one, Spot, is supposed to be a Black Asian but it looks nothing like our other BA. We are wondering if perhaps it ended up in the wrong bin at the feed store. Also, any guess on gender? It is only 3 weeks old so I know it can be a bit early to tell for sure.
