    I knew they didn't have to be the same day I get about a dozen some days 18 I cross a speckled Sussex rooster with white leghorn and get awesome laying hen that lay giant eggs I'll save a couple days worth of eggs and save the best 12 and put them under her and see how she does

    Thanks that's what I've been doing took tweezers and helped them out I've only had to help 2 I've got chicks still hatching after 3 days they look pretty healthy temp problem I assume

    I was thinking that I'm new to incubating eggs always bought chicks I have some really friendly speckled Sussex and can't hardly find them so I started hatching my own I crossed some with my leghorn hen to see what ill happen gonna put another batch in after this

    Can you hatch in the egg Turner? I lost 2 from being rolled around by hatching chicks and was thinking the Turner would keep them in place. Off of course

    Thanks I've got three pips two I can see the chicks but no progress in the last few hours temps been holding around 100 and humidity just over 70 ill leave them be and check on them first thing in the am

    removing dry chicks from the incubator

    Thanks I couldn't take I removed them just couldn't watch them play soccer with them any longer I put warm wet paper towels in there and the humidity jumped up to 74% right away
