The longer you wait the easier it is to see whats going on. I don't toss anything until day 10! Dark blobs are a good sign, if the egg was not fertile it would be clear, red veins are kinda 50/50 but if you have a mass with those veins it would be on the good side.

IF you paint it, make sure to use a non toxic, green based paint, it might only be 100 in the incubator, but around the heating elements it can get hot, and cause the paint to fume!
